Here's the thing, there are actually "partisans". Some fans run around as self proclaimed gushers, some fans run around as self proclaimed bashers, and all of them blame the other side for the "lables".
It's gotten to the point where the regulars have their "street cred" as either bashers or gushers, and a lot of them just start in with personal attacks instead of making a case for their own perspective.
I think TFN was just sick of the general mean spiritedness about it all. Being a SW fan should be about having fun, not putting other SW fans down all the time.
The problem is they went so far with it, they won't allow the fans to discuss the fans at all.
It's really pretty ridiculous.

I don't even understand what you can and can't talk about over there.... how can two people with different opinions discuss something without talking to each other... its like you're supposed to talk to "everyone", but nobody specifically... plus it's all subjective to what the mod thinks of you (basher/gusher). If somone known as a gusher goes into a basher thread, (or vice versa) the Mods panic alarm goes off before anything even happens.... The stuff we talk about in here wouldn't go on for a second over there.
