Maybe if I have time some day I will transcode the final video files that make up the DVD to NTSC (I even have the whole FCP timeline too). But to be frank, it's pretty low on my list at the moment.

Jambe, I hope you have T&A now. I just got the video tape back in the mail along with a DVD-R of the capture. So I would suspect if you don't have it yet, that it's probably on its way.

Sorry for the quality of it. When I taped it previously..I had a lot of interference so unfortunately the picture isn't as clean as one would hope for. But I'm glad to hear you got it.

It's all good mate. I actually only used the audio track for commentary purposes, which is of perfect quality!

Hi Jambe

I've been lurking around this thread since its beginning. I don't mean this to in any way rush you but, my friends and I are just curious what your current estimated release date might be.

I understand this is a lot of work and I think I speak for everyone when I say take as long as you need.

That's a good and welcome question (as are most), so please feel free to ask.

I estimate that it should be ready by Christmas 2006, if not, early in 2007. However, I should add that my workload is very busy in the next month or so. Also my laptop has been in repair for nearly two months now. So, I can only really get any work done when i am at home.

My my my. I have just received some INCREDIBLY rare footage which reveals part of a scene that's missing from the final cut of ROTJ. We've seen a couple of photos relating to this missing moment, but now we have footage!!!

Pretty damn cool.

I am very much hoping that this is still possible for a 2006 release. I'd love to be able to give copies to a few friends for Christmas. Is this still a possibility?

BTW, really looking forward to this one as you seem to have acquired a bunch of rare stills/footage/info that has rarely/never been seen. It really is hard waiting for this project to be completed.

That's cool. Can I ask - does it actually fit back into the movie well? I mean, can it be spliced directly in and fit? Just curious. You don't have to reveal all your secrets, but that would be really neat if it fits and needs no "introduction."

All I can say is that it's not shot from a Lucasfilm camera. It's from another angle entirely. And listen, don't get your hopes up, it is pretty minor (read short), but I am pleased nonetheless.
