Only in this case, I think Gomer knows exactly what he's doing. He came to a board right after the OT was released and he found a board that was already wound up about the shitty release and he's been sprouting his point of view which he KNOWS is unpopular here. He does it in a calm, fairly unemotional and articulate manner. There's simply nothing we can do about it cuz he always hides behind that "certain point of view" and "just a different opinion" and "here to challenge my opinions" stuff. The only thing that's really against him here is the derailing accusation. If he's a troll, he's a damn good one. Pains me to say it, but it's true.
Judging from the amount of posts he makes, I do wonder about him though. He posts far too much, which to me, begs to question some things. He's articulate enough to be older and he argues well, so I do believe he is 35 or at least in that age range. I do believe he's either the "living in my mom's basement" variety of fan or the "no life/probable virgin" type of fan. Either way, he doesn't seem to have too much going for him outside of this board if he posts here so much. He posts on and off all day. He's logged on all day too and in the evening he posts as well, so please keep in mind just who and what you're dealing with when you get all flabbergasted with this guy. He seems like some kind of uber fan. Those types of fans are really embarassing, but hey...they're out there and there's nothing you can do about it, so just live with it people.
Gomer, I really have no problem with you actually. I was rather mean to you at the beginning cuz that's how I like to smoke out trolls. I attack them until they slip up. That was how I go Raul back in September. I stayed on him until he slipped up and exposed himself like the fraud that he was and look, we're rid of the little shit now. As for you Gomer, you're not going to change anyone's opinion here. You're not challenging anyone around here either. This site if for SW fans of a particular taste. I don't care that you like the PT. I don't care that you like the SE. I don't care that you think Lucas should be given the benefit of the doubt. I disagree on all of those points. You will find that others here feel the same...and more, they don't want to hear your opinions because they don't care and don't want to be convinced or argue about it. This site is the turf of a gang of people who like the OUT and you are waltzing through our 'hood' talking shit. It's no wonder you've had so much venom thrown at you. What I don't understand is why you haven't gotten tired or fed up with it. No one puts this much effort into trying to convince others like this unless they were doing so purely to fuck with people. I'm not even sure what you're trying to convince us of anymore. It's like you're playing chess, but deliberately playing for a stalemate and when the fight goes out of the discussion, you say something to provoke the discussion again, only to achieve the same stalemate.
I think your time would be best served by just admitting that you have your views and many of us have ours. Let's just accept it as fact and move on. Please do not derail anymore threads. If there is an OUT discussion going on, then keep the PT and SE shit out of it. It's old anyway and you're getting old too....too old to be wasting this much time on this stuff.
