I'm beginning to agree with that. I'm enjoying my debate with him in the thread I made about the prequels, but after browsing through the last few threads, I'm struck by how worthless they have become due to Go-Mer filling them with petty challenges. He argues from points of view he can't and won't defend and yet he heavily criticizes other people for doing the exact same thing. He's an annoying hypocrite and the endless, repetitive posts are filling the forum with too many garbage discussions.

Before Gomer came along, it seemed like just about every thread had to do with bitching about the non-anamorphic DVDs or more stupid shit that nobody really cares about anyway.
If anything, I should applaud Gomer for breathing some life into these boards (or at least the General Star Wars Forum).

No, Go-Mer, I pointed out nothing of the kind. My point to you, in this thread, was that we all say stupid things. You do it; I do it; everybody does it. We do it all the time! Most people try to ignore such things though and instead look for issues that really matter. You too often waste everyone' time with useless crap and we never get to any substantial discussions.

Here's my opinion on Go-Mer. He's a classic internet troll, and an excellent one at that. He's a textbook troll and anyone saying otherwise is a textbook idiot. He derails every thread he visits making it a PT arguement so he can glorify his gay lover Lucas. I'll say it one more time. I AM OK WITH DIFFERING OPINIONS, but only when they add to the discussion, and don't derail it. Hell, who knows if Go-Mer even really thinks it. He's just trolling.
And this thread probably only has a few posts left before Jay closes it. Remember how I tried the same thing?
We need to ban Go-Mer. End of story.

My answer goes like this:
The name of this site is originaltrilogy.com. There is an inherent bias to this site, as the name implies. I haven't looked at thefarce.net in months because I wanted to go to a place that was free of certain sensibilities.
The problem is, with Go-Mer and Jedi Randy being here, I still have to endure that same mindset here. At a site devoted to the Star Wars Unaltered Trilogy. That pisses me off. If I want a pro-PT perspective, I'll go back to thefarce.net but right now I don't want to hear that bullshit. I don't go to prequeltrilogy.com and shit in their cereal - why then do I have to face it here?
I am a San Antonio Spurs fan. As such, I visit Spurs sites. I don't go to Mavericks, Lakers, Suns, Heat, or anybody else's sites. They don't want to hear from me, and I sure as hell don't want to hear from them.

That's the problem. He's going into EVERY thread and derailing. Having a different opinion is all well and good, but when you give someone advice, and he continues to bait posters and derail threads, that is trolling, plain and simple. Why should I even bother commenting on anything? He's just going to make this into a post about George Lucas. Every single post he makes is all about "how George would have done this" or "Lucas knew what he was doing" and so on. It's annoying, it's redundant, and it's useless.

I don't care if he likes the PT, I don't care if he loves the PT, everyone here has their opinions of all 6 movies, the bottom line is Gomer came here from TFN cause he was banned there, and needed somewhere else to go to start trouble.
I wouldn't sign up for a site, "More changes to the OT movies.com" cause that is not what I care about it, but this site is specific in what everyone wants, not what everyone believes, and the bottom line is Gomer has constantly made little jabs at the O-OT, "You should thank Lucas for putting this out in Sept, he is being mighty generous." Gomer is not an O-OT fan, so as I said guys, just ignore him and don't answer his posts, and he will then ban himself from the site of boredom.

This thread will no doubt be closed at one point or another, but if someone starts another thread about Gomer and another after that, the mods will realize its easier to ban Gomer than to keep closing threads bashing him. What a joyus day that will be.

I'd already be well aware of the troublesome member, and would have two eyes on every post of theirs. But membership mob-torching would not be viewed favorably, and I would hate to do anything that reeked of cow-towing to a lynch mob.
