MikeO, all that point-by-point fisking of what you PERCEIVE to be holes in Halloween shows you're missing the point. Utterly. Not trying to pick a fight, but you do realize that classic horror is full of monsters that amble slowly and still manage to catch their prey. It's not a plot fault, it's called suspense. Meanwhile, the mask helps hide the face of a fugitive with an APB out on him so he can wander about anonymously. And if you didn't get that his survival after six rounds into the chest alluded to a dark supernatural presence in him, well, we can't help you here.

I'm not even a huge fan of the film myself. I just abhorr overanalysis of fluff.
