The new voices just sound so 'computer gamey', which I guess fits in with the prequals in general which seems to be Lucas's intent these days.

Have to say I think the Jabba scene is better out of the film completely - I really do think it's a case of less is more, and Greedo more or less tells us everything we need to know at any rate. The pacing and music editing of the original works better here as well I think. This scene just slows everything down. The thing about 70s film editing was it was often 'lean and mean' - adding (anything substantially) to it just seems to make the thing seem bloated and increasingly disjointed (witness the vader landing pad scene in the Empire SE).

Have to say I'm just blown away by what I've seen of this 'fan edit' so far. This is one release I can't wait for - so much love has gone into it.. unlike a recent official release ;-) My video projector and bedroom wall is just crying out for this version (and a few beers of course!!)!!
