I can't remember the last time I heard anyone but me mention Boorman's Excalibur. I bloody love that film. It's well overdue for a better DVD release, at least in the UK.

Anyone remember the movie where the children were locked up in an attic and they were being fed poison donuts? Can't seem to remember that one.

And there was another one, although more details leave me. Main characters were a boy and a girl and I remember a mansion catching on fire.

I've seen that one, but not my favorite Steve Martin film. Maybe it's the hair...

Flowers in the Attic. That's it.

The other one I don't really expect anyone to know. Too vague. Heh.

Aparently no one remember the most forgotten Disney film: Song of the South. Anyone seen it? Also, an animated feature called "Oliver & Company", along with Who Framed Roger Rabbit one of the earliest films I have clear recolections of watching at the movie theaters.

Ric, I've seen the latter two, but not "Song of the South". I had the opportunity, because USC had a copy in its library, but I didn't think about it till it's too late.

The other two are fantastic though.

Olver and Company and Who Framed Rodger Rabit were my favorite films in alternating periods during the 90s.

I would not consider "Oliver and Company" and "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" forgotten, both are available on dvd, and i think most people know of them, especially roger rabbit. "Song of the South" isn't really forgotten either, just not officially available. I think a lot of people know about it, Disney wishes it was forgotten though.

Roger Rabbit is a pretty darn famous film. I think most people would know what it was, even if they'd never seen it.

I never said Roger Rabbit was forgotten, I just said it was a film I remember watching at the movie theaters along with Oliver & Company - which IS a forgotten film over here, unavailable since the original theatrical release and absolutely unknown by everyone.

Weird. Oliver and Company has had at least two releases in my lifetime, one of them only a few years ago, I believe. I love that movie.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

Might have bombed here during the original theatrical release. I've searched for it, it's unavailable and unknown here.

Another Disney forgotten gem: Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

In the states Oliver and Company is as common to see in the DVD store as Beauty and the Best or The Little Mermaid. Excellent kids movie though. Remember when Disney use to release movies that were at lease loosley based on classic liturature? Those where good times. Now we only get computer generated features about talking automobiles and vertically challenged chickens.

Yes, I remember when Disney used to steal from other animation. Kimba for Lion King, Nadia for Atlantis, Thief and the Cobbler for Alladin, good old Disney stealing from other people's work.

You know, if it weren't for someone ripping off the Honeymooners, we wouldn't have Flinstones.

Disney in its second golden age of the eighties and early ninties might have ripped a few things off, but they were excellent films in every sense, and I really don't care if its ripped off.

Nowadays though....the only animated movies worth watching are Pixar's ones. The disney company should just be shut down, except for thier live action department. I wanna see Pirates 3! After that though, they can shut it down and we can remember the days of Walt and his nine old men, and when Roy Disney had a say at the company and great films like Beauty and the Best, little mermaid and lion king were made.
