Wide eyed imaginative, youthful people would have had a much more open mind for the prequels. They would have been able to imagine their way around the plot holes like they did the classic trilogy, and they would be able to roll along with the less than perfect acting writing or directing.

See, it's statements like this that get people pissed off at you, Gomer. You keep saying that the reason we didn't enjoy the prequels because we "weren't open-minded enough." It couldn't possibly have been the fact that the movie was badly made, and we didn't gravitate toward the garbage. Which is worse, really? The ones that "weren't open minded enough" because they thought the plot holes were stupid, or the apologists that say that it's okay to have plot holes simply because it has the Star Wars name on it, because it was "George's original vision"?
