Helped, he dragged the rest of the industry, kicking and screaming into the era of modern film making and film presentaiton.

The bean counters in Hollywood were always too greedy to reinvest any of their money into research and development.

It's not taking anything away from those visionaries you brought up to include Lucas in their ranks.
