Regarding these straight captures - I assume your "archival" format is something lossless like huffyuv. Have you done any processing to these versions (i.e. IVTC)? Could you be persuaded to run off an encode to a "distribution" format like MPEG-2 - before you finish the final cleaned-up version? I'm thinking of the SC in particular. I know I'd be very interested in getting the best possible pre-THX version - without DVNR smearing and trails - in order to replace the worst affected motion scenes on the GOUT DVD. I'm sure others would like to see this as well.
