These type of additions really wouldn't fit into ANH. the only OT movie that anything like this would really fit in would be ROTJ. The conflict within Vader, as DVD-BOY pointed out, only begins AFTER he confronts his son. To show him even thinking about Padme would show a weeker side to vader and take away from his evil persona in eps 4 & 5.
