 (Edited)

I would like to ask if there are any extras for the Eric Idle (of Monty Python fame) comedy, Splittin Heirs, made in 1993. Stars Rick Moranis, Catherine Zeta Jones and Barbara Hershey. John Cleese also appears, in a vital role.

Does anyone know if any extras, like making-of, trailers or anything, are out there? I want to make a complete DVD out of it - the DVD I have has nothing but the film. Not even Subtitles! Anyway, I’d like to know if there any extras to include on my DVD. I’ll torrent it afterwards.

Well? Any help?

Finally, a Python preservation project more pointless than Yellowbeard!

Again, I'm amazed that people care about crap like this when there's so much rare good Python stuff about.

I've never heard of anything for this movie (because, again, who cares) - maybe Eric was on some talk show or something, but I don't have anything, and if I don't have anything, probably no one has anything.

Make it a trilogy with Missing Pieces and Nuns on the Run!

Christ almighty.

Thanks for the good word.

I'm just discovering of the psot-Python work that is out there. I want to check the Rutles, Rutland Television and Ripping Yarns.

To be honest, I didn't quite like Fawlty Towers. Nice for rental to enjoy the evening, but nothing lasting. The one episode I really liked was the one with the salad and the American one. You know, where Basil actually decides to leave the place, but returns anyway to stay for the rainy night.

So give me a break, would you? I live in Greece, its not easy to have access to that kind of material. So please!

Anyway, anyone else on Splitting Heirs? Any documentary? Nothing?

So you don't like Fawlty Towers but like Splitting Heirs.

Just repeating that so we're all clear on that. Okay.

Good luck.

Am I here to be critisized?

I did not say that Fawlty Towers ain't any good. But Splitting Heirs a little bit more preferable to me. Both are rather weak, IMO. But Falwty Towers does have better slapstick humor.

And so what? Does that make me a bad person or something? I don't get it.

I love Monty Python BTW.

Anyway, back to the Splitting Heirs subject...

Yellowbeard has it's moments. (And deserved a better DVD than what Sony crapped out recently.) It's kind of bittersweet knowing it was Marty Feldman's last film though. And life is too short to begrudge anyone's taste in movies.

Where were you in '77?
