Pink Floyd used to perform a couple of song-cycles in concert (circa 1969) entitled "The Man" and "The Journey". The first of these concerts was adverstised as "The massed gadgets of Auximenies; more furious madness from Pink Floyd" with a similar tagline appearing on adverts for subsequent shows.

(Check out CDR009 on the website of this fan "label")

Auximenies is sometimes spelled "Auximenes". On Pink Floyd boards neither is uncommon, often combined with a number. In retrospect, I wish I had added "1972" (my birth year) to distinguish myself from other auximenieses.

So why did I use a Floyd-related name on a SW board? Well, I came to these boards with no Star Wars fan-produced DVDs except the Dr. Gonzo set. Because I am active in trading live music recordings -- bootlegs -- I figured I could use my cache of live music DVDs (unofficial/OOP stuff) as trade bait for the various Star Wars fan DVDs (bonus materials, documentaries, etc.) that some of you may have. I'm on dialup so downloading torrents is not an option. So I maintained the Floyd-related (albeit obscure) screen name and paired it with a well-known pic for the avatar.
