Wouldn't it be cool if they did to Jack what Ian Fleming actually did to James Bond in "The Man With The Golden Gun" ... he was brainwashed and sent to assasinate M. Imagine Jack being sent to kill Wayne Palmer in this fashion. It would turn the show on its ear. Unlike season 1 where he was reluctantly sent to kill David Palmer under duress, imagine if he actually WANTED to do this because he was brainwashed by the Chinese.

I doubt they'd have the balls to do that. EON certainly didn't w/ Bond on film.
