nope not a sticker...its part of the "artwork" on the slick. the only thing you can do is reprint a new slick with some art off the internet. the article mentions that some companies are making double sided slicks so that they conform to the ratings regulations...but then you can take em out and flip em around to get the unaltered artwork when you get home. thats how ALL companies should do it IMHO...that or stickers. but in this case...neither....sucks be to us....

Geez, the ratings boards of all countries seem to be going overboard, don't they? How useless...

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

Heaven forbid parents take the time to find out what a movie is about and choose for themselves whether it's right for their child rather than depending on a letter on a box.

In the US they practically HIDE the rating on the box! God knows what it must be like for a parent who actually cares about what their children watch! Although from experience, unless it's sex related, they're usually not bothered!

I remember catching Lethal Weapon on a normal advert-laden channel at around 3PM in the afternoon: All the nudity (what little there is) was gone, but amazingly ALL the violence (even the horrible torture scene at the end) was included uncut!

Another time I was talking with a mother who used to sit and watch CSI with her 8 year old daughter?!

Like I said, if parents actually cared about what their children watch, then they should be more concerned with actually finding out about that product rather than trusting a random letter. Good for us that the ratings are practically hidden... now if only TV ratings would get the hell out of the way. Those things get bigger and bigger every year.

But the point is that children are individuals, and it's impossible to judge what's "age-appropriate" across the board. If this 8 year old has enough emotional maturity not to get freaked out by CSI, well, more power to her.
