Aha, but he promises Solo only 2000 before leaving Tatooine and the other 15000 on arrival on Alderaan. The bulk of the reward will be bankrolled by the royal Organa household, in gratitude for the safe delivery of Kenobi and the droids. The 2000 is scraped together from what little Ben and Luke have on them and the money from the sale of Luke's landspeeder.
