Hello all. I'm new hear and just wanted to say that I was recently introduced to the whole fan edit scene and I'm addicted.
It started with Deleted Magic and the rest is history.
I've only got ADM's Terminator 2 edit so far and I'm downloading ADM's Dual layer Ep.IV now. I'd like to request that I be placed on the pay it forward for ADM's Star Wars edits (Dual layer if applicable) of the other available episodes(I-III,V & VI). Please let me know the details on this if anyone can help.

This place is great and looks like a perfect union between film lovers and Star Wars fans! Lots of talented people on here and I hope to learn alot from you all!
Got questions about Dual layer ripping/encoding/burning (best software?), so if anyone wants to help me out through PM for either the ADM edits or best methods on DL burning, I would much appreciate it.
Just got a dual layer burner last week and I'm dying to try it out with ADM's Terminator 2 download!

I won't take up too much space in this thread for this subject, but I use (and these are the best freeware I know of):

DVD Decrypter for ripping
PGCEdit for building .ISO files --> ImgBurn to burn the .ISO files (now that the latest version of ImgBurn can build .ISO files, you probably don't need PGCEdit any more, unless you want to edit the DVD structure)

(note that if you're making a 1:1 copy, you should rip in .ISO mode)
(also note that the Nero doesn't respect the layer break position, so refrain from using it if you truly want a 1:1 copy)

I use TMPGEnc Plus for MPEG2 encoding, which is not freeware.

After watching the prequels this weekend, I've come to a realization. They need alot of help. I stumbled upon this thru fark and I must say WOW ADM, your edits seem amazing! I remember watching the Phantom Edit years ago and wondered what the rest of the trilogy would be like fixed up.

If anyone is willing, I would love to make a nice stop-over in the world of paying it forward. If anyone is willing, let me know, as I would love to experience ADM's 7 disc collection (Both trilogies + clone wars) and would love to help spread this any way possible!

Hi guys, kinda wet behind the ears with the whole "Pay it forward" idea! Can someone please explain how it works and how I'd be able to get my hands on all/any of the amaing fan edits I've read about on here!
Any help would be great guys! P.S. I'm in Scotland so PAL versions would be preferred but not essential!

ADM's Clone Wars II.V is up on Demonoid and still has one seed. I think his other edits are over on myspleen.

I spotted 1,2,3,and the darth editous on myspleen, I'm going to try to get those there (albeit slowly) and I'll try to grab the clone wars from demonoid. (woo-hoo, only 130 days to go at 1kb/sec) If I ever finish up, I'll try to keep on that one for a while

1, 3, and 4 finally finished from the spleen, 2 should be done within another day. Only managed to get 5% off that one seed from demonoid with it running 24/7, and still no sign of V and VI, can anyone help with those 3?

Just checked out ADM's SW2 torrent on myspleen.

Considering that only a few people have their port visible, I'd assume most (including the seeder) have their firewalls misconfigured for bittorrent.
That's probably why it's going so slowly.

I think BT needs to integrate something like Skype's ability to work through firewalls on it's own.

You have someone volunteer to send you a copy of what you need, then once you get those, you put up a notice here that you have 3 or so copies to who ever wants them. Mostly done through the PM's, so it is hard to see of those who get the copies are actually sharing them. And I'd bet a lot of times they arent.

I can almost never connect to the MySpleen tracker, for whatever reason (I'm using uTorrent) -- and I can't do anything about the port settings because I'm behind a college network. Bummer. (I don't usually have this problem with other trackers like Demonoid.)

Do you use software like PeerGuardian or ProtoWall? For some reason MySpleen's tracker has been put onto an anti-p2p list used by those firewalls.
uTorrent also uses such a list in it's advanced settings...

PeerGuardian lists it as: ServerBeach Emule Servers | P2P Fakes

Either add it to your custom allow list or pull up your history and you'll probably see it blocked a bunch. Right click and permanently allow.

Whenever I have trouble with a torrent site I always check for repeated hits to my BT port on PG2.
I'll then lookup the IP to find out if I'm blocking the server.

Does peer guardian speed up your download rate?

PeerGuardian blocks anti-p2p groups, adware, spyware, etc.
So yes and no. It doesn't speed up transfers, but if there is some anti-p2p trying to corrupt a torrent, it'll keep you from downloading from them.
