The people who used to be in charge of airport security before they federalized it are now in charge of manning the shoplifting beepers in stores, I swear. I have NEVER had a package checked when I've beeped it. Granted, I've never stolen, but the anti-theft technology has become little more than white noise. Meanwhile, I just want to open a package with ease.

I'm surprised they haven't started packaging DVD cases inside those annoying plastic bubbles that you have to use a box-cutter to get into. You know, the stuff they use to package $5 cables and whatnot ... I'm going to slice my hand opening one of those things one day and then I'll have my day in court.
