I agree with you, as much as we all think Lucas is a jerk, the man is a genius when it comes to marketing and making $$$$$$$$$. What everyone forgets is that he is a business, not an artist anymore, so making money, especially when there is no new movies to make 900 million worldwide anymore, is the essential to keeping his business going.

I think Lucas will include in the 2007 Saga boxset:

1. OT/SE (more updates)
2. O-OT (fully restored)
3. PT (theatrical releases)
4. PT/SE (CG Yoda, deleted scenes inserted in the movie?)
5. OT Deleted Scenes
6. More Documentaries on each film

That covers the whole SW fandom, and that will be the last release before DVD goes into its twilight. The HD-DVD starts getting big in the next few years, and we can go through this all again............

You have no way of knowing if the person he mentions is involved with the project or not. There have been no press releases of any kind stating otherwise. Yeah, Cable, you went over the top.

Maybe he's lying, maybe he's NOT. Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe that for once it may not be a plant from TFN or something? That maybe not everything can be too good to be true?

Like I said, what he said makes sense, and if he's lying, he's obviously putting in more work than a moron from TFN would in crafting them, because his claims sound reasonable and within the realm of believeability.

I can live with 80% of the SE additions. I even like the PT (overall). But not releasing the OOT in respectable condition? That's unacceptable.

Before you get offended with people's doubts, please go to Supershadow.com. Read as much of the site as you can. Be sure to read his interviews with his best pal George Lucas. Check out his scripts for Episodes 7-9. Check out his "girlfriend". And the guy has been doing it for almost 10 years now. Know also that the guy has had several cease and desist orders from Lucasfilm and ILM (when he claimed to be an employee) and you'll know why what you're saying has to be taken with a huge grain of salt. The guy is either a completely obsessive pathological liar or quite possibly the most brilliant long term satire of Star Wars fans in history. Either way, the level of detail with no corroboration is quite similar.

Hey man....HE came here saying that he had "inside" information. If you're going to do that, you better be able to take the heat that comes with it, especially if you're for real. What did you expect everyone here to do? Accept it blindly or just say, "okay, we'll see what happens" and then people get their hopes up....what happens if what he says DOESN'T happen, huh? Cable-X1 what did I do? I simply brought you some information that was brought to me. I am not a "plant from TFN". The fact of the matter is I am simply a fan who is lucky enough to have an inside scoop. The fact that I don't have the name of the restorationist is a good thing, because if I did have it I would post it here. Hell I would create my own site. I do not know George Lucas nor do I work for him or his company. I don't blame you for being a skeptical but I speak the truth.

Cable-X1 was absoluty correct. These were prototype art work for the 2004SE box sets...EXTREMELY OLD NEWS TO ANYONE WHO IS A STAR WARS FAN.

Lucasfilm is currently leaning towards two box sets. Yes the original unaltered trilogy is getting remastered and will be anamorphic for the 30th Anniversary.

Cmon we arent silly Raul, we all know how Uncle George feels about it, he wont release it like that epsecially if he releasing a new version of SE he wouldnt want an anomorphic OOT boxset maybe overshadow the release of his possible definitive versions of the saga, I am willing stake big money this isnt gonna happen and it will be the 6 films plus a truckload of extras....

The original unaltered trilogy is being remastered by a loving restoration artist. It is the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars and the originals will get their just due. Make no mistake the Special Editions are George's definitive vision and these boxsets will obviously reflect that. Now people will simply be able to enjoy them both. I'm very excited.
