Raul, you're crazy. I don't know what crappy movie theatres you go to, because last time I checked, theatrical editions were supposed to look good. In fact, film is supposed to look better than any kind of DVD. So why on earth would you possible think that these relatively decent quality DVDs are supposed to represent the "theatrical versions" and that anything better than a non-anamorphic Laserdisc master is supposed to be too good for the theatres? And what are you smoking to think that we can just satisfy our craving for good looking picture quality and an anamorphic transfer by watching the special editions?! No, I'm afraid you have no idea what you're talking about and know nothing about the technical side of this issue in the least.
