Color-correcting

Hi guys, I'm trying to color-correct the "Making OF Star Wars " documentary, my source is terribly green.
I've tried to use the AviSynth function RGBAdjust, but when I lower the green level, the video is suddenly violet :-(
Any ideas how to do it the right way ? It doesn't have to be AviSynth, of course.

What source are you using? There are a few good versions that are already out there. Unless you have something special in mind....
