Unfortunately it's not subtle... especially in motion these artifacts are visible. I'm not sure if they result from the upscale to PAL, but I assume the NTSC-version contains theses as well, as they're to large to be caused by those few extra lines added:
(Note the speeder details, and the rocks on the ground)
