I was looking for Waterworld the extended version on DVD and found that great site. I really must say it's like I found a second home. ^^
well, now to the matter itself: one year ago I've received a 2-disc edition of that extended version. it seem like it was ripped from a VHS or something. the picture quality is just like that on the screenshots shown at the begining of the topic here. well 1 year ago I started with my own editing on the extended edition.. so merging the bad quali extended copy with the actual DVD release. The edit was done on my iMac with Final Cut (really great poweful editing software ^^) and the edit of the movie is finished... so now everyone is wondering why I write all this... well it's because I'm not happy about that VHS quality
For now I'm already looking for more than 1 year for a better copy to finish my perfect edit.
And now I think I have a little hope and so I ask you: is there anyone who has such a greater quality on DVD or something?
I've read that Gillean is already working on a DVD. Can anyone tell me more about this? Is it going to be released through the net later or sent by mail on DVDs or what? ^^
Sorry about all those questions but I'm really tired of the film industry and their politics about the edits and releases and stuff. I'm also exited about the DVD you guys creating here.
so please tell me more about this project.
