Help: looking for. 1997 Special Edition Preservation?

Does anyone have an NTSC DVD copy of the '97 SE version of the Star Wars Trilogy in their posession? I can’t find any torrents, and I think dark_jedi took down all his LD torrents. I would be willing to trade with a copy of my prequel edits, or any other DVDs I have.
I have a PAL copy from the “canal” recordings already, so that’s not what I’m looking for.

Reason I need them is to try a “De-SE” project that won’t require ANY footage from the '04 DVDs, thereby removing all the terrible mistakes and color boosting. Even so, It’d be useful in other editing projects I might try.

Well, there's the Jedi/Feta SE set, but I think you'd be better off starting with the PAL edition. The ultimate hybrid would be made from that and either the PAL GOUT (if it's not resized NTSC) or Moth3r's forthcoming PAL THX upgrade (go on Moth3r!). If you really want to go for maximum quality, try to get in touch with the makers of the TB (or GKAR?) set and get hold of the uncompressed data.

I've got anamorphic PAL-versions of the digital broadcasts of the SEs... though seeding them would take forever with my line (plus they have German logos, crawls and subtitles).

I've got an NTSC '97 SE version called DARK/SVN-001 which is a dark_jedi laserdisc capture authored by Rikter.
ANH only.

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

I got the gold 5 star '97 edition set that was floating around on flebay that I regrettably bought before I found this site.

Wasn't there also a DVD of the '97 ANH captured from a broadcast tape? If memory serves, it was NTSC too.

Just to throw this out..

Has anyone got a copy of the SE that's as close as possible to DVD quality and, obviously, in widescreen?

And on that note, do any of your versions have the 5.1 DD mix? Actually, if there's anyone who just has the sound in ac3, I'll take that, too. Feel free to PM me.

Hey, thanks! What's the quality of digital broadcasts? Anyone got any screenshots?

Also, where can I get one? I'm actually only gonna need certain scenes (the original Vader-Emperor scene from ESB, for example). Although if the quality is THAT good, then I could just make it into a DVD... I doubt it'll be the same quality of the 2004 DVDs, though.
