I was thinking more about the Tantive IV explosion scene. On top of camera shake and enhancing the hit the other thing that I think would make it look better is to have the ship react to the explosion. Just after the ship is hit and the explopsion occurs, the ship loses control a bit. I made what can only amount to a animatic using footage from the DVD. It's short and just a proof of concept. If the idea were to be done I think it would have to be achieved by recreating the shot using CG animation, but I think it would add something to the scene.

The other thing that I have always wanted to see in Star Wars is the Tractor Beam. In Star Trek you seam a beam(s) of light shining onto the ship to show the effect, but in Star Wars you don't see anything. I would love to see an actual tractor beam, something in the vein of Star Trek would be great although it doesn't have to be, added to the shot of Tantive IV in the beginning, and to the Millenium Falcon later in the movie.
