Look at the date on there. "September 11, 2006." Least they could've done is generate a 1977 date.

That is without a doubt a recreated crawl. You can clearly see a deliberate overuseage of fake film wobble.

I was just goofing around at work. Since I use Photoshop as part of my job I thought I'd goof on the new forum look. All these threads about the 77 crawl gave me the idea.

I will say, however, the original is 1024 x 768 and looks considerably sharper. The 800-pixel version pales in comparison. I spent quite a while just doing the star field.

Makes me wonder how much better the DVD is going to look compared to the few screen grabs we've seen.

I always wanted to have Erikstormtrooper reply to ReverendBeastly first, but I didn't have the technology to open a topic that way originally.

I also removed the garbage mattes from around the quotes.

The garbage mattes would not be visible if you included a screen optimizer to help readers adjust their brightness and contrast.
