I really doubt that an adapation of The Silmarillion that didn't last 40 hours would be possible
. I just don't know about Holm; he's a bid old. McKellen is a must though, and a Christopher Lee cameo please . And Howare Shore is a must!The Hobbit isn't listed on the IMDb, for whatever that is worth. I haven't heard much about what he's going to do after The Lovely Bones

Doesn't look like it will be coming along soon, at least not with Jackson's involvement. I'm not into the 2 film idea - that seems like milking it. You need Jackson, Shore, McKellen. Holm is optional.

Agreed. If the volumes of the LOTR trilogy could each be a single part, then The Hobbit could be fit more than comfortatbly into one film. I hope Jackson does it soon.
