I probably ranted about this before, but I always thought that the animation of the Bruce Timm Superman was a step down from their animation on the first Batman series (1992-1995). I thought their Superman looked too much like a block figure, and for some reason it annoyed the Hell out of me that his eyes were nothing but black dots. But storywise, Timm's series was as good as it could get.
