2006 OT DVD: Audio anyone?

Does anyone know what audio is going to be on the new DVDs? For example, is R2 “lucky he doesn’t taste very good”, or “lucky to get out of there”? Which Aunt Beru are we getting? Is the 3P0 tractor beam line in there? How about “close the blast doors”? Well, you get the idea. Can anyone confirm anything?

On another note, how about the Leia welding scene? Is it all there?

Mentasm's review on dvdactive seems to imply that the audio is the '93 sound mix, which is not surprising considering these are coming from the Definitive Collection masters. He refers to omitted lines and added sound effects for the first film, which describes the '93. So no tractor beam line or closing of the blast doors, but yes to breaking glass sounds in the cell bay shootout, most likely. And Artoo will most likely not taste very good.

The Leia welding scene was a pressing defect on the earlier pressings of the DC LDs, so it should be present on the DVDs.

It would be nice if someone who has watched the DVD can confirm, though.

Surely they would fix weilding scene for such a high quality DVD release.

I'm assuming LFl at least made the effort to use the corrected version.

(Not that I wouldn't put it past them. Gotta make those '04s look good, ya know. That being said, I believe the welding scene was a mastering error, as opposed to a transfer error.)

Well, techinally these are being promoted as "theatrical versions." In the theater they did say "Close the blast doors!" but on the LD they forgot it. I'm hoping that the crew were able to squeeze that line in since it would make it more theatrically original.

That line was in the mono mix but not the 6 track Dolby mix heard on the 70mm prints or the Dolby Stereo mix heard on 35mm prints.

Well at least the reversed surround channels have been addressed.
