Perhaps I should wait until I get the OUT discs before I say this, but this project seems to be obsolete (so far the leaked images look great). Since I started the project I have come to realize how screwed up the 2004 discs actually are. So, I don't think that my project will really buy a whole lot.. except maybe a nice tool to cut and join clips.. pretty sure these types of tools already exist. I certainly no longer have any interest in combining the 2004 and 2006 discs.

The partial frame re-encoding would still be cool (to handle those burnt in subtitles), but for those with widescreen TV's, it sounds like they will want to re-encode anamorphic anyways. I was having a lot of fun with it, but I got busy with school, and now at this point I see little to be gained. Project cancelled. Sorry about that! I'm willing to share what I have if someone else wants to keep going with this... I don't plan on going anywhere, this is a fun community.
