I finally did find them on MySpleen (I had to go through the original seeder to find the effing things), but no one seems to be seeding or even leeching ANH.

Why is it unnecessary, it is a novelty that many people seem to like and since the original verson is no longer being seeded then perhaps a new one with (what might be) better quality in the oot version might renew interest and have people download and seed more, and maybe this time there wouldn't be such a huge watermark.

It is unnecessary because the 9/12 DVDs will not have anything that the OT versions currently on there do not have.

Plus, quality-wise...they should be fairly similar to the laser disc rips we already have.

Re-doing them wouldn't accomplish much.
