I guess it is possible that Best Buy and other retailers got stuck with loads of inventory and with permission or not,
broke up the boxed set to try to get rid of them.....

Even though Neil and I disagree, I enjoy the discussion and I will readily admit that what I saw at these retailers could've either been done without Lucas' permission or with their permission, but never marketed by Lucas as individuals and left up to the retailers to do so.

And yeah, your theory is a good one and maybe the retailers broke them up on their own*. But whatever the case may be, my point in all of this is to show that it appears as if the SEs never really sold *that* well, and I am sure well under what Lucas wanted/expected. If they do suddenly sell it won't take a genius to see it is all because of the OUT's doing....no matter how Lucas would try to ignore it, the proof would be right there. And just imagine how much more would sell if it was a quality transfer! I feel that there is one thing Lucas loves more than his art, and that is MONEY! Once he sees he can make some major $ off of this, there is no telling what he will do next.

*That would actually be better for my case, as the boxed set was selling so poorly that the retailers had to do whatever they could to get rid of the product.
