Jay tells me that ot.com promotional items are planned for release well before May next year. He hopes they will be ready by the end of this year. These items will include t-shirts.

my plans are as follows:

will not be seeing the phantom menace in 3-D

will not be re-newing my hyperspace membership or insider ( I don't want to be around to watch them ruin another beloved franchise rip indiana jones )

Will not be buying the 30th anniversary box , not one more penny for george until he respects the fans who made him a success and the oot given a proper release.

by the way celebration IV will be another joke just like the other ones because lucas will not allow screenings of the original versions of the films. Plus youll get to see lots of yes men mcallum and sansweet take center stage to talk about how wonderfull he is.

I used to have a lot of respect for mr. sanweet until he decided to become another ass kisser and yes man over the september release of the oot.

Why does'nt this no talent hack stop squeezing every last bit out of this franchise and actually make some new films? because he knows he can rely on sheeple fanboys to keep lining up and filling his coffers.

It's around $3000 to rent out a theater screen for a week.

Yeah but getting hold of original trilogy prints is the hard part.

Depending on how many people actually end up at this, there is an alternative. Rent a large screen, a projector, and some space to use it in (hotel ballroom, wharehouse, anything like that). Then all you need is a DVD. My best man did this for my bachelor party. The screen wasn't the biggest, but it was pretty awesome to watch Star Wars on a large screen in my house.

I would be up for it I wouldnt have a problem meeting up, I live in London though something could be arranged..

As for the 30th itself I couldnt care less, the only things that interest me Star Wars releated in 2007 is the X0 Project and this site, I have no interest at all in what George and his company have lined to celebrate it be it merchandise or events like Celebration Europe..

it will likely be be no differant than the celebration I hold every year in may, commemorating the anniversary of the firing of three very mean former teachers of mine:

5 days before: TPM
4 days: AOTC
3 days: ROTS
2 days: ANH (OCp's classic edition)
1 day: ESB (2004)
the day itself: ROTJ (OCP) followed immediately by the "Night on Bald Mountain/Ave Maria" segment of Walt Disney's "Fantasia"

Excellent! We can see who's up for it and come up with a location folks are okay with. London would be okay for me, though.

Hopefully, we will be continuing the battle to save the OOT the, and will be able to spread the word.
