Good to see all the progress being made Trooperman, I especially enjoy reading that there will be more added dialog.
With all the new dialog being recorded, I have a question and a "possible request" request. I didn't like Hayden's performance, and I am encouraged by your recordings for Anakin. However, Natalie Portmans was JUST as bad if not worse. There is no inflection in her voice at all, even when there should be. Any chance of getting a voiceover for her? It would only seem fitting... anyone else agree? Or am I asking for way too much...

I was actually thinking about this at the very beginnings of the project, but wasn't able to secure anyone to do it. It's a big shame, too; it's not as if it would require a lot of additional work. I'm already rebuilding the sound mix for all of the Anakin scenes (which means practically all of the Padme scenes). If anything, the quality of the mix would go up, not just due to superior acting, but the fact that it would mean I wouldn't have to deal with trying to cover up traces of music that they put into the center surround channel on the DVD, like I've been having to do. I wouldn't have to deal much with the original mix for those scenes at all, and it would actually create a cleaner mix.
The big issues are the following:
1. Time. I would need somebody...now. And I'd need all of the ADR in September, or maybe October, and I would need them sent at intervals.
2. I don't have a girlfriend currently, or anyone else that I could even remotely imagine agreeing to do this.

3. I don't know if anyone on this forum will be able to find a female that's
A. A good actress
B. A Star Wars fan
C. Enough of a Star Wars fan to sit down and do ADR for three Star Wars movies.
These gals are few and far in between. But yeah, that's the one thing that I'm regretting about this edit. That I didn't find someone to replace Padme. I agree that Portman was such a lousy actress in these movies, it's not even funny. Now that Hayden's voice is replaced, her awful delivery stands out even more.
If ANYONE has any ideas on this and is able to get the recordings pronto, plugging them in would be a very simple matter. And it would really take this thing to a whole different level. Because I've been noticing... it's really tough to create chemistry with only one person involved.
Wife, girlfriend? Anyone? Please? It's not that many scenes. I'll pay her
