just a big shout out to say that digiatlfreaknyc has done it again. An amazing archive 2 disc set of David Finchers “The Game” Criterion Collection Laserdisc.

The transfer is amazing and comes with full 5.1 and commentary.

Disc 2 is jam packed with all the criterion supplements and some japanese subtiltled extras too including a 30 minute making of!

All this is wrapped up with highly professional looking musical menus.

This is a great compliment to his se7en release and is available at myspleen. I urge you to go and get it now. It’s an amazing set.

I see that all of digitalfreaknyc's stuff is on torrent but I don't have a burner nor 8g of space. Can someone burn me The Game and Se7en 2-discs? I don't have anything for trade but I'm sure we can work something out...

By the way, let me say (my point for posting in the first place) that The Game DVDs are fantastic. I've always liked that film and not having a good release for it always pissed me off (along with the countless others I could gripe all day about). These DVDs have all I could want I think.

p.s. love the transfer and the sound mix.

hmmm.... a dvd writer in the uk comes to about £50 which is $88 and then dvd's are about £8 for 50 discs thats about $14 and then a 40 GB hard drive £40 = $70 so for about £100 or $177 , you'll be "cutting edge!

I too am not on the cutting edge, currently not having any hd space, but having some blank DVD's. I saw The Game in the theater (the first time being the best, not knowing how it would end), and have wanted to see the Criterion edition for ages. If I can echo droidguy1119's plea for a copy, it would be appreciated.
We don't have enough road to get up to 88.

I think it is just the first country. It will be released in the Uk soon. the extras were submitted to the BBFC a few months ago

since you live in the Uk, Universal has just released a special edition dvd of The Game with all the special features of the criterion disc.

since digitalfreakNYC does not support piracy, it is probably why the torrent is dead.
