I wonder why the film puts the Black Widow with Captain America instead of Iron Man. I seem to recall that was the original storyline, whilst Captain America found himself involved with Wasp after her relationship with Giant-Man fell apart.

The blooper reel was pretty funny.


I'm not sure really. It would have been even easier to put Steve with Wasp in the movie due to the events therein.

And yes, the blooper reel was hilarious.

Exactly. My wife (who is American) didn't even know that the statue was a gift from the French. I thought it was common knowledge (and I am English).

That's crazy. Although we found out about the Abu Grahib prisoner abuse/torture scandal in Australia about a year before I saw it on American TV for their first time! Not really related, but it's crazy how some of the things we take forgranted as common knowledge aren't always common to the countries involved...

Case in point, I just saw footage of Steve Irwin misspelling 'G'day' on an autograph (he wrote 'Gidday')!

Thoughts on 52 so far? Anyone?

**Possible Spoilers**







I couldn't care less about the Animal Man/Star Fire/Adam Strange storyline right now. Total write-off for me.

I like the Teth-Adam/Marvel family storyline in Khandaq. It'll be interesting to see where he stands at the end of all this.

Was surprised they killed Booster, though whether he stays dead is the big question.

Think the best story so far is the Luthor "everyman a super hero" one. Would like to see more of it.

Well, I only care about the space story because it has Starfire in it. SHE MUST LIVE... Otherwise it is pretty boring so far.

I'm enjoying 52. It's not perfect, and it's no Kingdom Come, but it's a solid book and it comes out every week. Hard not to like... well, it's not cheap to pay for it four times a month, but...

Have you been reading the new Flash series? Good so far, although I was a little disturbed by ish #3 with pictures of Che Guverra and Mexican Flag posters on one of the character's walls. Keeps up I'll drop it...

I was wondering if they were still going through the animated Hellboy. Haven't seen anything for it. Haven't seen anything for that animated Conan the Barbarian film either (the one with Ron "Hellboy" Perlman as the voice of Conan).

Well, IMDB still has the Hellboy series listed as premiering next year.

It also shows the Conan: Red Nails movie set for release sometime this year, but apparently there is some sort of production trouble going on, so nothing is concrete yet.

Anyone seen Absolute Kingdom Come? WOW. What a nice volume...saw it at B&N yesterday. If I had the $$ I might consider it.

I haven't been to a Book Store lately. School is too busy kicking my butt halfway across the county (literally in some cases)...

I've been keeping up with 52 and the monthlies I'm interested in, and that's it.

Considering that I already own everything that's been made Absolute so far except Sandman and DKSA, they don't really interest me. I know it's all big and pretty with supporting details, but it's also, as you said, a lot of $$.
