I like a bit of Motown, but wouldn't call myself a 'fan'.

Currently listening to: Dizzy Up The Girl by The Goo Goo Dolls

Neither would I, but I do like the Temptations (classic 5 era & some of the psychedelic soul stuff).

The only PF album I have so far is 'Piper At The Gates Of Dawn'. I tend to purchase major artists' albums chronologically by original release date (just for my own interest, you understand). I then detoured into Syd Barrett's solo records, which I love. One day I'll have the money to press on with the PF albums!

I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan, I own Pipers, plus every album from Atom Heart Mother to Final Cut, plus Division Bell. Kinda sad the way they departed, with Roger Waters destroying it all and the rest of the band so traumatized they are too scared to do anything good with a PF name on it. I prefer their prog-rock era, from Atom Heart Mother to Animals, although The Wall is good too.

Any more prog-rock fans here? Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Yes, Genesis, stuff like that?

All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. I like Genesis a lot thanks to my Dad. I'm even a fan of their work after Peter Gabriel left, but I consider them to be almost a different band, and definitely one with a different direction.

Funny just how similar Phil's voice is to Peter's though...

The band was successful after Peter Gabriel left mostly due the similarities in their voices...

And how about classic music? My favorites are Beethoven's Ninth Symphonie (Fourth Movement) and Moonlight Sonata (piano sonata #14), Wagner's Tanhauser's Opening, Pachebel's Cannon, some (weird) stuff by Ligeti, Blue Danube, etc...

I like Handel.

Did you know he inspired Jimi Hendrix? I have been to the house he lived in when he was in London - Jimi's is right above it.

Would you classify the song Tarzan Boy as a disco song or as simply a dance song?

I'd call it a gay themed song. Not that it's a bad thing.
