Question: In the Batman movie, the Joker's real name was Jack Napier. Is this his real name in the comics, or is it different, or uncertain? I thought that someone who is a bigger Batman comic fan than I once told me that they had more than one 'real name' for the Joker, meaning they all are probably fakes.

The Killing Joke by Alan Moore, is for many the definitive Joker origin story, and most certainly one of the greatest bat-tales ever told, but Moore leaves the story open to be doubted. They gave the Joker an origin in the first movie, which contains a few elements from that particular story, but for all intensive purposes, his real name is unknown.
