For Parents: Letting Go

Well, today was the first day of Kindergarten for my son. Not a good day for me. He's very timid and shy, not like my daughter who's the complete opposite and is already in second grade.

I hate having to let go, but realize I must. The time is here to trust them with strangers who will teach them things which are contrary to what we believe is right. We're trusting their safety to them. We're letting them out into the world.

Being a parent can have tremendous rewards, but it also has it's sh#t days as well...

God I'm depressed.

Strong people will always be able to take what they are told by others and filter out what they do or don't believe, even if it takes them years to do it. I'm sure your son is or will develop into somebody with a mind of their own who is able to read between the lines and choose their own viewpoint, just like yourself.
