I plan on spending the rest of the night in, maybe writing something about a classic movie I saw yesterday. Old horror flick -- shot on 16mm, blown up to 35, distributed to theaters who cut it to shreds because of its "objectionable" content. The sound elements for all the cut scenes were lost. The existing scenes were in rough shape, and no one could afford/justify a full restoration. Its creator doesn't think it's a particularly good movie, is embarrassed by the amateur quality of the whole thing, and is letting other people remake it. And it still got a better treatment on DVD than the Star Wars Trilogy.
