Where Does it Actually Say that the DVDs are *NOT* Anamorphic?!?

I ran a search on here but didn't find what I was looking for, as I am sure it is out there somewhere. But I was wondering: other than hearsay, where did we actually get confirmation that the 09/12 releases are not anamorphic? Amazon.com says as such for Star Wars:

It says "Widescreen" for both discs 1 AND 2 and nothing about anamorphic, even for disc 1. I am guessing that "Enhanced Trilogy Version" on Disc 1 simply means "SW with all of the changes" and this is NOT referring to it being anamorphic. Also, I read recently that Fox has a problem with labeling their DVDs properly before the release and proper marketing, so could this be just a case of that?!?

Just looking for some clarification and hard evidence. Thanks!

You can tell that from scaled down screen shots on the internet? I'm not trying to be a jerk, I am really asking...I have limited knowledge with this sort of thing at this time...

Yes you can tell from the screenshots, because you have to resize a screenshot to 4:3 or to 16:9. If you resize it to 4:3 then it's not anamorphic. The menus are, though.
Some were not blessed with brains.

I thought it surprising that the menus were 16x9 while the feature is 4x3. Kind of a slap in the face for those who know, huh?

I'm not sure about the menus. Certain dvd menus appear letterboxed on my computer screen but are 4:3 on a tv, even a widescreen one. Or is there something else you know about the menus.
What's sad is that it seems there are a lot of people at Lucasfilm who want the original films restored but "they must obey their master." Sansweet at the comic con basically admitted this when he said something about wanting to do something special for the fans (with what was to be individual releases of just the 2004 versions) and this is the most Lucas would permit.
The official site has screenshot comparisons of the '77/'04 versions. I know they're at a small size but the original screens look rather good against the new ones.

Take back the trilogy. Execute Order '77

Yeah, they do. I wonder what the sources for the '77 shots are? I hope it's coming from the same source used for the new DVDs.

Menus (and movies, but it's rarely used) have a flag that can make them appear 4:3 if the DVD player that is set up as 4:3, cutting off the left and right. I assume your computer is proclaiming itself to be a 16:9 display, and whatever DVD player you're using is set up for 4:3.

To answer the thread title: On the back cover of the dvd's themselves. I'm actually surprised Lucasfilm would be so upfront about it. Someone who got the dvd's early posted photos of the cases. It says "4x3 Letterbox Format."

Take back the trilogy. Execute Order '77
