I think it was. If memory serves, the renewal left the original audio intact (which, considering the mino changes is a good thing), whereas Platinum and such didn't. I could be wrong though, and they might just be downmixed like Manga. Though I know the rip I have didn't have it. The Manga 2.0 was downmixed from the 6.1. Sounds great and all, but I'd like the original.

Out of curiousity, does anyone know the relation between the Manga remixes and Gainax's? Are they the same (I'd think not), how they compare. I'd imagine the Gainax ones would better reflect the original intents.
