Two discs?

You're mistaken there Dave unless you have some info I don't.

In fact, Amazon fills in all the blanks we need:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GFLKE4/ref=ord_cart_shr/103-9589579-9308640?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&v=glance&n=130

The price is $13.99. It says it's one disc, says it's the Arabian Knight cut, and is widescreen. Which is better than Region 1 has gotten before.

There's new poster art up there. Although Amazon lists the film and DVD as "Arabian Knight," the new poster clearly says "The Thief and the Cobbler" on it. The poster is very similar to the Theatrical poster for Arabian Knight, which was a subtle piece of work with Prince Tack and Yumyum in silhouette against a night sky (intended to evoke memories of a similar scene in Aladdin, as well as Aladdin's original subtle "lamp" poster). However, this new DVD version shows facial features for Tack and Yumyum clearly - they're stylized and look strange. And of course the title is given as The Thief and the Cobbler with the logo from the Miramax VHS release.

This is a rush release, but it's good to have Arabian Knight in widescreen in region 1, for a reasonable price. I do believe that this was inspired by recent internet interest in the film .... those Weinstein boys work fast, don't they ....
