That was what I was going to suggest too, since you already have it. DVD Studio Pro can cut between GOPs without recompression. If you wanted to cut exactly (or add transitions) only using the software you already have then you could cut out the GOPs that will be changed, make the changes in FCP, re-render back to MPEG2 and reinsert the new GOPs.

That said, I was looking for similar programs to Womble for Mac and thought I found a couple, can't remember what they were though! I guess I decided to just jump through all thoughs hoops I just mentioned and not pay for a new program.
