Ha, that's funny, I thought the PT score was one of the few strong things about those films. If anything, the down-to-the-wire editing of the films was the music's downfall. That can hardly be blamed on Williams (look at AOTC for the worst offenses).

I don't think the PT scores were as good as the OT scores, but they were still pretty solid. They were definitely "interesting." In many cases, they didn't carry the same tone as the OT scores, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. For example, it seems like the OT scores were more "brassy" while the PT scores favored the use of more woodwind instrumention. Lots more choral work, indeed. We also have some interesting musical choices throughout (including the electric guitar during the speeder chase in AOTC, that "Arabic" sounding music during the arrival on Tatooine in the same film, synthesizer in "Padme's Ruminations," etc.)

I didn't like it that John included lyrics into the music it just made it sound like a cheap attempt at trying to convey drama.


Yeah, because that would REALLY bother the many amongst us who understand Sanskrit fluently.
