Just to recap, the reason I keep including “Padme” in Anakin’s line is that this is the one thing he cares about. And he’s very angry right now and wanting to avenge whatever harm she’s suffered by attacking the man responsible. So a line like, "You slaughter your own kind, for this we will extinguish your force" doesn’t really convey the anger that I’d like. The anger has to be present for Anakin’s charge to make any sense.
What went wrong in the original cut is just that- Anakin giving a kind of nonchalant, unemotional reading, and then suddenly charging for no reason.
But I understand that you’d like the Darth Vader elegance present as well, which I’m definitely considering.
