I have the Japanese laserdisc and it is by far the best print available. It's just that those pesky subtitles during the songs can be distracting. I'm actually planning something special for SOTS, but I can only work on it during my limited free time so it may be some time before it's finished.

Of the 3 sources that are "readily" available, I'd rate the picture quality like this...

1. Japanese NTSC laserdisc
2. British PAL VHS
3. Chinese NTSC laserdisc
