Haven't heard of a DVD version, but here's a link where you can download some lower quality Quicktime files of it if you just want to check it out. Basically, it's a barebones version of the movie. It's edited down to about an hour and has even less story than the theatrical version.

Actually, I don't know if the Quicktime files work anymore. But I've got them kicking around on my HD.
