AzrilDrakk: making our own subtitles is probably better, yes.
segaflip: sorry to hear your son is sick. I wish him a speedy recovery . As for the subs, you missed the TV narrator at the beginning, but otherwise it's very good.
I'll keep those up until they are subtitled, then I'll upload the iPod versions and the restored anime intros. Once you download those, I'll upload a new 4-episode batch.
Ok, I'll try and do episode 3 tomorrow, that is in about 12hours, when I wake up If nobody will take episode 4 by the time I finish I'll do that one too.
Since some unexpected events occured I must postpone my work with the subtitles for a bit...I'll probably get back on them within the next 6 hours...if not I'll have them done by tomorrow... As for now I managed to make subtitles for half of the episode (up until the end of the trial): http://www.sendspace.com/file/y3eul8 I didn't make subtitles for the shouts of the guards during magneto's attack at the detention center and of the shouts of people in front of the court...if they are needed I may add them...I'll send the subtitles to the whole episode as soon as I can.
I said I would have the subtitles done and uploaded by saturday. The first part I managed to do without any problems, however, I have some problems with my internet connection back home and I was unable to upload the file with subs and post the adress here. At the moment I'm away from home but I'll be back somewhere around tomorrow in the evening or tuesday afternoon. If my internet connection will be operating I will post everything as it should be. Sorry for the delay.
By the way, I decided not to do 5.1 audio in this project. The reason for that is because I discovered that according to 640kbps AC3 can't be played by many standalones, and since 448kbps 5.1 would be equivalent to ~180kbps stereo it seems much better to me to just use 384kbps stereo instead. Let me know what you think about this.
The novelty of a 5.1 upmix isn't worth compromising audio bitrate - after all, you've gone to so much trouble to get the video looking perfect. Plus, the 'purists' would be happier with the original stereo.
Hey Byakko, I don't want to derail your thread, but I have a proposition for you, send me an email at DarthBalls1138@gmail.com or hit me up on aim: DarthBalls1138 , thanx dude!
Hello, Sorry for the delay, here are the subs: http://www.sendspace.com/file/ovdhsz
When I checked them again there seemed to have been a slight problem with the timing but I fixed it. However, I do not know whether it was the conversion to .sub from .txt that did it or the program. If it was the first one than there should be no problem...the second might pose a slight problem.
I registered today because of this project. The shots you've posted post filtering look amazing. I can't help personally, but I think I might be able to drive some VERY talented people your way. Keep up the good work, I intend to be a customer when this is finished.
Hi guys. i, like Yecti, registered to the forums because of this nice project you guys have going on. im in no way a video editor or w/e but im willing to help in any possible way i can. i love/ed watching the x-men cartoons. as a matter of fact, i loved watching all the marvel cartoons. it would be nice to watch them all over again especially with the crap thats on today :\. well anyways, if there is anything i can do please let me know. if i dont know how to do it, ill learn

I can't help you find non torrent downloads but I can let you know if you'd like to trade (after I finish the two I am in the middle of) I made a six dvd set of all 5 seasons.
Wow, it's been over a year since Byakko last posted to this thread. I just read through all the posts, and had a few questions (if he's still around...?):
1) Is this project still going? (Or was eventually finished?)
2) How would one get ahold of the final project? Is it burned to DVD and mailed out, or downloaded via torrents?
3) Was DRG4 ever emailed about if he had higher-quality versions of his alternate episodes?
4) Was a final episode order ever decided? After doing some research, I found a list I believe to be more definitive than both the "Marvel List" and the Production Order, which is the Script numbers given by writer Steven Melching here. He states on that page: "For those of you keeping score, this is your best guide in terms of overall series continuity, as this is how the stories were originally envisioned to flow together."
So I'd assemble the set as something like this (if you're trying to fit roughly 9 episodes on a disc):

Disc 3 206: X-Ternally Yours 207: Time Fugitives I 208: Time Fugitives II 209: A Rogue's Tale 210: Beauty And The Beast 211: Mojovision 212: Reunion I 213: Reunion II
Disc 4 301: Out Of The Past I 302: Out Of The Past II 303: Phoenix Saga I: Sacrifice 304: Phoenix Saga II: The Dark Shroud 305: Phoenix Saga III: Cry Of The Banshee 306: Phoenix Saga IV: The Starjammers 307: Phoenix Saga V: Child Of Light 308: No Mutant Is An Island 309: Obsession
