exactly, there should have been an anncouncement made in the main anncouncement section. Appointing the first ever OT.com mod is big news don't you think? Yet was put in a thread most members would not look at. The point is, the excuse Jay used to not appoint Dayv a mod was that he didn't want mods. When he appointed you a mod, that excuse became null and void. I don't have all the answers. But it sounds like you guys have some sort of built up fowl vendetta against Jay for not appointing you as mods. Are you saying that boon's new site has something to do with that? Sure, it would have been nice to announce my promotion in the Announcements forum, but that doesn't mean he was trying to be shady about it.
So now you're telling me the reason Dayv wasn't appointed an offical mod was because of how well he did an unoffical mod? Does that really make sense?
You can not get around the point that for all the hard work Dayv put into this site, he should been made a mod, and the very lest was deserving of a good explanation as to why he wasn't considered.
Again, I have nothing against you or Dayv or anyone else. But understand that just because someone is a very prominent and respected part of a community, it doesn't mean that they "deserve" to be a mod. Nobody "deserves" to be a mod on a message board unless the PTB believe they do and believe there is a need for a new mod. As far as this site goes, only Jay can answer that question.exactly, there should have been an anncouncement made in the main anncouncement section. Seeing as Jay hasn't made them mods and has told them to stop acting like mods, I don't blame them. Why don't you and the other mods do you job and clean it up?
Do I detect some hostillity here? First of all, I have nothing against any of you guys. Second, being a mod on a message board is purely a voluntary position, and if I don't have the time, energy, and will to clean up the GSWD forum, I'm not going to do it. This is something you could've went to Jay about. But don't worry, things will probably be changing there fairly soon.So now you're telling me the reason Dayv wasn't appointed an offical mod was because of how well he did an unoffical mod? I was a very prominent member of TFN about five years ago. I had a lot of friends there that were mods and Fan Force RSA's. I believed that I too deserved to be a mod because of the way I acted and treated people. But you know what? The administration didn't see things my way and never once was I considered for a mod position. I didn't like their decision, but that doesn't mean I hated them for it or thought any less of them.
